Mitzvah Monday: Unique Typography Finish

For today’s Mitzvah Monday we are featuring a unique typography Bar Mitzvah invitation that included a variety of fonts, decorative details and two printing styles.

Michael’s main invitation was printed in navy thermography on stone colored double-thick card stock. Including a combination of script, block, Hebrew and bolded fonts, the invitation was done in a popular typography layout and presented a festive tone to guests.

On the back of the invitation envelope the family included their return address printed in matching navy thermography.

A typography layout (image above) presents a unique and festive appearance that “pops”; the alternating fonts and emphasis on different aspects of the invitation (i.e. Michael’s name, party date and party location) create an upbeat and lighthearted tone for the celebration.

On the reverse side of Michael’s invitation were his initials printed in large silver foil. When guests received the invitation they opened the card to view his initials first before seeing the party invitation and information. We loved this feature of the invitation and how it immediately captured the guests attention and interest.

Included with the main invitation, was a matching typography style Reply card (image below). Printed in matching navy thermography on stone paper, this card complimented the main invitation and included RSVP’s for both the service and the celebration.

Mitzvah Monday: Save The Date Edition

We love putting together Bar & Bat Mitzvah Invitations! But, it’s important to inform your guests of your ceremony and party PRIOR to sending the main invitation!….Why? Let us tell you.

Save The Date (STD) cards are a popular way to inform guests of your celebration date months in advance. By doing so, guests who are considered out-of-town will appreciate the advance notice to make travel arrangements and in-town guests can mark their busy calendars! Even more, any guests interested in staying a hotel will be given the opportunity to book rooms without having to worry about the hotel filling up. Another reason why STD cards are important is simply that they inform guests they are are invited…and to expect more information regarding the ceremony and/or party as the date approaches.

Today we are featuring Sara’s chic and modern Save The Weekend card for her Chicago Bat Mitzvah. A custom design, this card was stylish, easy to read, and pre-set the tone for her main invitation and celebration.

Sara’s Save The Weekend card was two-toned and digitally printed on white card stock. The smooth texture of the paper allowed for a design to be printed on the reserve side. Sara chose a modern chevron print in matching colors.

The block format and separated text “boxes” of Sara’s card gave structure to her contemporary design. By including bold fonts and certain details of the weekend in contrasting colors, Sara’s guests were able to easily read and decipher the events and accommodations planned for her celebratory weekend and plan accordingly (image above).

Sara’s STD card was sealed in a matching blue envelope (image above).

We love the way Sara’s STD card came together and creatively informed guests of her upcoming event. Save The Dates are an important aspect to remember when planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Let us help you create one perfect for you and your celebration!
